MTV SELECTS MARIANAS TRENCH FOR “PUSH” INITIATIVE AND NEW VIDEO DEBUT

MTV has selected Canadian alt-pop band Marianas Trench for its multiplatform music initiative PUSH – Play Until Someone Hears, push.mtv.com, that connects emerging artists with MTV’s audience. Starting Monday January 30, Marianas Trench music videos, artist IDs, performances and interviews will be featured across MTV’s multiple channels and screens, including MTV, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV.com. The week will culminate with the video premiere for “Fallout” on February 2.

Marianas Trench have over 2 million youtube views of their current video “Haven’t Had Enough”  and have a combined 10 million in audience of all their official videos on youtube. Marianas Trench has already sold over 100,000 songs in the US to date. “Haven’t Had Enough” the first single from their new album, is currently climbing the National T40 radio chart.

This past November, their new album Ever After debuted at #5 on the Billboard New Artist Chart.

Marianas Trench just completed touring across the country with Simple Plan and will return to the US to tour this April.

In their native Canada, Marianas Trench have racked up numerous awards and nominations including being nominated for Pop Video of the Year (2010 & 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards) and winning Single of the Year and Pop Group of the Year (2011 Indie Awards). They are a platinum selling band in Canada.
